YallFest 2012

So it seems like I just wrote a blog about the wonderful opportunity I had to meet Charlaine Harris in person at a local bookstore signing and how I wished more fabulous authors would come to the Charleston area. Well….boy did my wish come true!
YallFest will be held in Charleston, SC. There are close to 50 authors signed up to attend, and over 25 of those have been on the NY Times Bestseller list.  Quite frankly, I couldn’t be more excited, many of these authors write some of my favorite young adult books!

There will be author panels, book signings, live music, games, and much more. So booklovers save the date. Anyone who would like to come from out of town please let me know. We have spare bedrooms and of course I’d be more than happy to help with other arrangements. .
When: Saturday November 10, 2012. 10am to 6pm

Charlaine Harris

Hi All!  Ashley and I went to the Charlaine Harris book signing at Barnes and Noble last Friday and had an absolute blast. This was a first for me and I hope to get the opportunity to do it again.
I thought it was going to be a crazy mess, with long lines and impatient waiting, but everything was extremely organized.

Charlaine Harris was super nice and definitely  a true southerner.  She spent about forty five minutes answering all kinds of questions from her fans and then spent the next three hours signing books. It was fabulous getting to hear her story first hand.

So be sure to keep an eye out for author signings at your local bookstore, they are a really great way to meet some of your favorite authors.
